Hotels with big bath/Hotel du vin

Child free Christmas and looking to get away from it all. anywhere London and southwards from kent to hampshire

Only real criteria is that it must have a bath big enough for two BlushGrin. An old mumsnet thread seemed to suggest the Hotel du vin chain, but wanted to ask whether that all their rolltop baths or just the ones in there suites? And if I do go down the hotel du vin route any help on choosing between Brighton Winchester and Tunbridge Wells??

Thanks

The Portabello Hotel in Notting Hill has a massive roll top bath in the round room. It's the one that Jonny Depp and Kate Moss reportedly filled with champagne before trying it out back when they were an item. It's a lovely non flashy place. Like a (very rich) mad Aunt's townhouse...

If you do go for a Hotel Du Vin the baths are generally enormous in all rooms, not just the suites. On the website the availability page for each hotel shows the types of room available and describes the bathroom.

I haven't been to Winchester or Tunbridge Wells. Brighton is a pretty lively hotel and due to v central location some of the rooms can be noisy. Not a problem if you are planning on partying until the early hours but maybe not to everyone's taste.

Oh, I love the look of hotel de vie! Like the gothic room

I have to ask Blush what exactly is a love swing?

Only prob is that it doesn't seem to let you book christmas. I might have to call them....

Brighton works well for us as a town not sure about the noise issue though . I thought that may be the case about the bath

What about Drakes hotel in Brighton? Has attic rooms with free standing bath in the room by the window looking out to sea. How fab?
Has acclaimed restaurant and nice cocktail bar too. Is central but prob not as noisy as Hotel du V and is on seafront.
