Interconnecting hotel rooms.

We're thinking of making the most of an inset day this half term and heading to London for a weekend.

I've been looking at some hotels but can't find any mention of interconnecting rooms - DH and I aren't keen on the idea of lights out when our ds's go to sleep!

Are these rooms usually bookable online, or do I need to contact the hotels directly?

What's your budget? We stayed in an aparthotel in central London which was really good. Not cheap but reasonable for London wd felt, and so good to be able to walk to all the main sites. It's called Citadines Trafalgar Square

Not really thought of a budget for the hotel as I have no idea how much these rooms cost! I guess up to £400 for the 2 nights providing it was very central.

I'll have a look at that apartment now - I hadn't considered an apartment tbh.

I think most hotels have them but you'll need to call to arrange them. Call them and see if they will match net price.

There doesn't seem to be much availability for the weekend that we'd hoped to go.

I'll have to ring around - that'll need a bit of homework first to check out the rates for those that do seem to have availability.

196 bishopsgate apartments were nice. Stayed 2 nights a few years ago. Centrally located near Liverpool st.

Holiday inn and premier lodge have interconnected rooms. Premier inn at angel, islington is good and not too expensive but central

Might not be what you're looking for but airbnb and similar do whole flats by the night, could work out quite reasonable ?

Dolphin Square apartments are also good, and there's a swimming pool and restaurant on site too (great breakfasts!). They're in Pimlico, not far from the Victoria tube line and fairly central.

Hope you find somewhere :)

Not sure what I think of airbnb, very interesting and something that I'd not considered before.

Dolphin square apartments look great but are pretty pricy for one sleeping 4.

Thanks for your ideas.

Tune hotels? Chain of cheap but good quality hotels I think. Like a premier inn.

Never heard of Tune hotels, but i've looked at their website and they cannot guarantee interconnecting rooms - you can only request at check in so that's not going to work.

I'm amazed at all these places that I've never heard of!
