Booked to go to Chester for a few days over Easter. No idea what is available - Please can someone tell me what is fun to do there or within one hours drive of there? I only know that they have a zoo. Thanks.

the zoo.is a full day. Also, Cheshire Oaks shops - if you are into that kind of thing, but that is more Ellesmere Port (but only down the road) lots of stuff to do around there, Sea Life centre, cinema, eateries, bowling.

As for Chester - boat trips on the river, walks around the.city centre.

My mind has gone blank so.hopefully somebody will be along with more stuff for you to do soon.

I loved Chester as a child, there were always Roman soldiers walking around and it's got a lovely atmosphere.

yes Blue Planet.

Kellogs were doing a ticket offer recently and in the past Blue Planet was on the list of participants.

Tatton Park is near Knutsford, there's gardens, a deer park, big play area and a lovely farm with shire horses. only do-able by car and on the edge of the hour away from Chester.

there is Gulliver's World in Warrington (45 mins from Chester) and they have a Splash Zone next door - DD loves Splash Zone, it's a while since we went to GW and last experience was not impressed.

Delamere Forest has a Go Ape trail as well as bike hire.

Try the Ice Cream Farm in Tattenhall for small animals (free) or, if the 7 year old is adventurous, the Crocky Trail in Waverton is great. £10 per person I think but loads of slides, bridges, mud, etc...

I second the ice cream farm just came back from there today, there is animals and a play area and mini activities, a shop, a cafe and a indoor play area. Not forgetting the ice cream I have just had cherry crumble Smile
