Can anyone recommend a cottage that sleeps 7 in Devon/Cornwall?

We're looking to go away within the next 6 weeks to a cottage with my DMIL who has pancreatic cancer. We're looking for a nice cottage as we're likely to spend quite a lot of time there if she isn't feeling too good, but also we'd like some nice (easy) walks nearby, maybe on the beach, and some things to keep our dd's and dn (6, 4 and 3) entertained if we feel up to doing anything else. Ideally the cottage would have an open fire or wood burner for cosy evenings. We tried looking online last night but felt a bit overwhelmed and not really sure where to start, so a recommendation would be fantastic!
(we're in Dorset, and would also consider somewhere further west of Poole)
Thank you x

Pear Tree Cottage in Shaldon - Holiday Lettings I think. It's beautiful and sleeps 7. Not sure about the fire but it's lovely and you can walk to the beach and get the ferry to Teignmouth where there's a fantastic playground and pier for the children.

when we go to cornwall we often stay at wringworthy holiday cottages which is near Looe. their biggest cottage sleeps 8. also have a look at badham farm cottages which we also stayed at once. Both are in what i call the near part of cornwall just down the a38 not the horrible a30 car park and about half an hour from plymouth so not right down the bottom. for others look at the specialist sites. we have used bigholidayhouse.com and groupaccommodation.com they do start at sleeps 8's or 10's i think so might be worth a try. finally the tourist board websites are good because you find decent places on there that have been inspected. good luck hope you find somewhere nice.

What about Wheatley Farm. They have an indoor swimming pool and one of the cottages can sleep 7. Plus Valerie cooks delicious (and reasonably) priced meals. Can't remember the website (something to do with north Cornwall) but google Wheatley Farm holiday cottage and it should come up

Can recommend this one www.merlin-farm-cottages-cornwall.co.uk/#!treyarnon-cottage-cornwall/c1m7z sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms but I'm sure they'd squeeze another one in. Has a woodburner and is a short walk to the beach and coastal / country footpaths, short drive to Padstow, Watergate Bay, Eden project..... Good luck x

How about Salcombe. Lovely beaches and restaurants. Pennywell Farm, Woodlands and Dartmouth with it's steam railway are all within half an hours drive.
www.devonholiday.houses.co.uk is very child friendly and you can hire just the main house which sleeps 8/10 outside the school holidays.

Thank you for the suggestions! A couple of them are a bit too small for us, as we really need 4/5 bedrooms and dmil really needs her own bathroom.
But we have just booked 4 days (only time dh could get off Sad) at Bosinver in the Lowen cottage, which looks very spacious and hopefully even if the weather is bad and dmil is feeling bad we should be able to entertain the girls onsite! Really looking forward to it! If anyone has been there before we'd love suggestions for things to do nearby!
