Five years ago whilst on maternity leave we took a Sun break to Looe Holiday Park in Cornwall. It was just awful. Im no snob but I wouldnt have dipped my big toe in the pool it was so dirty and our van stank of cigarette smoke. We stayed an hour and ended up checking into a hotel instead. Other people I know have had really positive experiences of these holidays and I am thinking of trying again! Can anyone recommend a nice park. THe quieter the better really. Not really into club houses etc Thanks!

Hmm £9.50 and it wasnt very nice! the cheap holidays are the ones no one else wants (a travel agent once told me!) I will be watching this thread as if there is such a thing as a quiet, non chavvy £9.50 caravan park holiday then i want one as well. Grin

Hmmmm, good luck, have you heard the phrase "there's no such thing as a free lunch"?

We liked Lakeland Holiday Park in Cumbria. We were lucky getting a quiet area and were just using it as a base. The bar wasn't too bad but we ate out. You do need a car though.

My friend did a similar deal last year to one in France & said lovely & full of middle class families. Are there any in France on this years deal?

We went to a Park Resorts, Withernsea Sands (just past Hull). It was really nice, quite small and quietish but clean. We upgraded to a silver caravan and that was clean and comfortable.

Can't wait for tuesday to see what I can book this year.

We are no means chavvy but nor snobby but I would go back to any of the sites in Woolacombe. We have been in a caravan and camping to Twitchen House and had good breaks there. There is normally an option to pay extra for a newer model. My all time fav is on the Isle of Wight, Landguard in Shanklin. Its quiet, not many caravans on site and the facilities arent huge so many people go the sister park instead.
