I'm off to center parcs in notts during the leicester half term and what seems like a great idea in the beginning is now starting to feel a bit ovefwhelming. I'm worried because its just me and the kids we arent going to get so much out of it.
I am taking ds 10.5 yo and dd 6.5 yo, so obviously they're into quite different things. Ds is a fab swimmer who will want to be on the rapids etc all the time, dd is a very nervous swimmer who will want to be attached to me the whole time! I was hoping to maybe let them do an activity on alternate days so then i can could spend one-on-one time with each whilst the other was busy and was hoping for at least the chance to have one treatment in the spa while they were both occupied. Its looking impossible though, all the activities the children want to do require an adult but the age range stops the other child being able to be there too, so the children are very limited. I'm also wary of booking too much as the activities are so expensive, so need to choose wisely.
So what I'm asking is what is worth it that is independent for kids the ages of mine?
Can any seasoned center parcers give me any advice on where to eat, what to do etc or handy tips so I dont find it too hard alone?
Thank you so much for any help. I really need a bit of hand holding especially as this is mine and the kids holiday for the last couple of years so ive built up expectations a bit in my mind and so have they.
