Holiday cottage near Alton Towers?

Thinking about a half term break to incorporate trips to Alton Towers and their waterpark, and Trentham Monkey Forest and WaterWorld. Any ideas for places to stay? Could also be a caravan/lodge type place as long as there are three bedrooms.

Look on the visitengland website for places that have been inspected so that you know that you are getting something decent. also worth googling and going on trip advisor. we have always had a short break in a hotel - 3 nights max - as would feel a bit all themed out by then! Caravans /cottages will all be looking at a full week let of 7 nights not just a few so be sure how many you want before you start googling! Good luck

We stayed here, the sandybrook site and thought it was just tip top. Lovely wooden lodge, indoor pool and games room and only a 20 min drive from AT. It's just on the outskirts of Ashbourne which is a lovely little town for browsing.

Agree with pointydog. We've also stayed at Sandybrook and it was fabulous. They have a great little restaurant there too and you can order take out to your lodge - perfect.

They've also just created a crazy golf!

Oh, big playpark too.

Sandybrook looks ideal, thank you...I'm investigating availability already!

Just back from Alton Towers - loved it. Think about forking about for the fast track passes (expensive but so worth it).
