Heights hotel near Chisel beach

does anyone have any experience of this hotel please? I'm looking for a short break for the dcs, sil and me and they have availability. We would like just to chill out on the beach, a bit of crabbing etc. Would this be a good base?

Portland is a little drive from Weymouth town itself and not near Chesil. We usually stay in Chickerell (good guesthouse/pub there called the Lugger Inn), very close to the fleet beach (part of chesil and all stones). Chickerell is closer to Weymouth - only about 3 miles away.
