Hello - any locals with tips about what supplies we can buy for a self-catering holiday there. Are there local shops selling the important stuff including meat etc? Or should we ship in a Tesco order?

Also - any tips on child-friendly things to do would be greatly appreciated...

Ratty & muncaster castle for kids.

Re shopping & other activities it depends how far you want to drive.there are little shops but nearest supermarket would be Millom I think.
