I am going to see the tennis on thursday and am looking for somewhere for brunch at about 11am in Wimbledon ( station end as opposed to Wimbledon Village). Does anyone know of anywhere nice ?

I have only visited Wimbledon a couple of times so do not have a vast knowledge. There are pubs serving food around the station and from memory a good few restaurants. Not sure about a brunch venue specifically but I imagine you will find somewhere easily enough. If you fancy a pleasant pub lunch or evening meal, make your way to the common end of the village. There are two pubs at the start of the common. Also on the common (probably 25 mins walk, or taxi (a fiver?) to the common and then 10-15 walk, to the windmill cafe on the common - I imagine you will get brunch there.

Turn right as you come out of the station and go towards Wimbledon hill. Just opposite the library is Le Piaf, a French brasserie. Next to that is San Lorenzo, a more expensive restaurant. Opposite is the Suk Saran, a fab Thai restaurant. A bit along from Le Piaf is Wagamama. All family faves with us.

Suk Saran may not be open for brunch, though.
