Looking for tutors in the Pinner/Hatch End//Harrow/Northwood areas

Hi all

I live in Pinner and my son will be in Year 4 in September. We’re thinking ahead to 11plus and have no idea where to start. Thinking of grammar schools and possibly private.

Can anyone recommend an excellent tutor or tuition centre for 11plus? And how should we proceed at home with books, workbooks, websites etc?

This is all new to me so I have no idea where to start! Thanks!

my friends who live in harrow sent their dc to a Kumon centre (you will be able to find a local one on their website) for 11 plus and they were pleased with it

We're shielding right now so tuition centres are a no-go!

DD uses EasyA (www.easya.co.uk) for maths tutoring and Galore Park for content.

Definitely worth checking them both out. Our eldest sailed right through with this combo! Also way more affordable than the Explore Learning stuff.

We used Marie Redmond Tuition last year - very approachable with high standards. We had to travel to Beaconsfield but I know they're opening in Eastcote soon. Feel free to send me a message.

Hi so not sure if this will help, but during the first lockdown I used a company called The Online School. They covered the UK curriculum from ages 5-18.

I have not used them recently but when I did my kids did like the lessons, they are fully online and was free when I was using them so hopefully they can help you and your child.

The website is - //www.theonlineschool.uk

Also as someone else has suggested Kumon is good, I actually did Kumon myself a long time back!

@amikot Did you figure out a plan amikot? We've been trying different things too and have just signed up to a summer program as I'm also struggling with structure and what to prioritise. DM me if you want the info.

Heya there

Kip McGrath is a option as is Explore Learning. You can also look at online tutors to find one you need. You can even order workbooks off Amazon etc as well. Good luck.

We decided to use a private tutor so will see how that goes, so far it has been ok
