Hi all
I'm looking for an 11plus tutor for my son who is currently in Year 3. We're based in Abbey Wood, but can travel to other areas nearby.
Can you recommend anyone please? Thank you in advance.

That's right. He'll be in Year 4 from September. He obviously won't start off with the 11plus preparation straightaway, but I'd like to use this extra time to gradually improve some of his skills that he currently struggles with.

Waaay too early! They'll be completely burnt out by the beginning of Year 6 when the exams take place. Head over to the elevenplusexams forum (talk section) and you'll see how other parents have prepared for the Bexley, Kent, Dartford and St Olaves exams.
I can recommend boosting reading at this stage; Harry Potter, Itch series, Michelle Paver etc. English seems to be the decider with the boys. If you pm me I'll let you know the tutor we used.

The head start on reading is key, check out this book too, I wish it was on the market before I’d started getting tuition for my child, there’s a lot you get for your money in comparison to others out there.
