Opinions on private maths class idea

Hi everyone. I'm just wanting some feedback on an idea if possible please.

I'm currently a private tutor and I have lots of fantastic students that I get to work with. I am always being approached to take on more students but I just can't fit everyone in.

I am a qualified teacher and really want to set up some after school classes. It's really just an idea at the minute. I was thinking small groups of 8. It would be primary maths and I'd probably start with y6 and SATS prep. I'd maybe charge £10 per hour depending on group size. I currently charge £25 per hour for private. It would be at a community centre so I would have to pay for room hire too and start up costs of resources. There's the planning of the lessons to consider to as I would spend time planning and preparing.

What do you all think? Would you pay for your child to go to the classes if they were struggling at school? What would you want from the classes? What would prevent you booking?

I'd really appreciate any feedback, ideas and opinions! Smile
