Which play kitchen for a 2 year-old?

DD was 2 in February.

I'm thinking of buying her a play kitchen, one by Step 2 probably.

Do you recommend any play kitchens, or have any bad experiences with them?

DS LOVES this one. I wish we'd got it instead of the massive plastic ELC one.

Step 2 are good though, a friend of mine has one for her DS.

We have a little wooden one that I can't find a link to! It is the size of the small portable ones so smaller than the step 2 ones but still but has a couple of little cupboards (from Little Wonders - now closed down?). It was a pressie for dd's 2nd birthday and she has played with it non-stop since. Ds has also played with it since he was 1. They LOVE it.

We have ours in the kitchen and they have a few bits of their own (tiny saucepans) but use lots of 'real' stuff too (a whisk, spoon etc) and mix up pasta or playdough. Some cupboards are essential I think for putting things in and out.

One of our best toys - needs a bit of sprucing up as it is so well-loved...

We bought dd a cheapo plastic one (by Chicco maybe?) which has been MUCH loved over the years by her and ds as well. Love the ikea one, but ours was something like £25 (stingy emoticon) and does the trick.

Toys r us did it perhaps?

We've got the IKEA one and both my nearly 4 year old and 14 month old love it.

The Ikea one has a little halogen hob on it that glows red. It's expensive, and we'll have to get rid of the other one, but seriously thinking about it. Shame his birthday is so far away really...

Thanks everyone.

Anyone else have any ideas?
