Took dd1 to the toy shop this morning, told her she could have one toy for around 5.00, anyway an hour had past and dd1 still hadn't chose a toy so i said 'what about these' (they were a little over my budget but thought they looked like they were worth the 13.00 on the price tag.
The box stated age 6+ (dd1 is almost 6), dd found it very hard to connect the bits so i said i would have ago. It took me 2.5 hours to make the skull and cross bones and my fingers now have blisters on them .
I would say they would suit a 12 year old (not a 6 year old). I thought toys were supposed to be fun (not leave you with a head ache and sore fingers).
Just thought i would warn you all before you go out and buy them .
On the good side- they are well made and you get a lot of pieces for your money .
Hahahahhaha I got roped into building some for my nephews before I had kids and vowed never to let them over the threshold again. It's like reallybadIkeafurniture isn't it? You know it should be simple but it just isn't
you see, there are some benefits to having children who have crap fine motor skills! I wouldn't even attempt these (esp after an abortive attempt at Hama beads - god those were designed by someone in Hell to torture those with fine motor skills issues lol)
