We've had a big clear out of our 2 and 5 year olds toys and need to get some more (to stop them fighting and hassling us all day!)

The toys that Have got the most use over time are play doh and magna tiles

Has anyone got any suggestions of toys that will keep them busy for ages?

My 2 and 4 year olds love wooden trains and tracks!

Hot Wheels, dinosaur Playmobil, Knex, free Lego (they have zero interest in the sets), Kinetic Sand and one of their all time favourites is a box of loads of little toys (Kinder egg ones, little figures, old keys etc) with a few tubs of slime...they’ll play with that for ages!

Worst thing: Sylvanian Families rarely get played with. So pleased I spent an absolute fortune on it.

Duplo/lego
Art supplies
Teddies/dolls and dolls pram, bed etc

Outdoors-
Trampoline!
Balls
Swings IME are not used as much as expected

Would have to disagree about sylvanians! (Better for older kids tho, around 7/8)

Quercetti tubations. I say it on every toy thread, because my kids just can't get enough of them. And those building straws with the connectors.

HappyLand sets when younger ... post office, school bus, shop, farm, rocket etc
Playmobile when a bit older.
My DD was given a few pirate sets for her 3rd birthday and played with them every single day for years. Oh and the playmobile campervan constantly played with!

At that age I found rotating boxes of toys good, kept their interest as they had "new" toys.
Lego, trampoline, train track and action figures including toy story toys have all been staples.

Mine really likes everything that makes music. Children's piano, drums, and guitar are our favourite games, and they take them exciting for 20 minutes or even more. Also, we like puzzles, not with small details, it the only way to make them for more than 15 minutes.
