Gifts for Muslim children

I am going to Morocco soon and will be visiting friends, they have a 6 year old daughter and newborn son. What are suitable gifts?

Muslim children play with toys in pretty much the same way as Christian kids and Hindu kids and Sikh kids and agnostic kids!
I'd probably avoid peppa pig, but otherwise whatever fits in your case and looks good in the shops.

Mostly the same as any other child, sweets and toys.

If you want something specifically 'Muslim' then have a look in a muslim book shop or online, there are books relling Koran stories and you can get dolls wearing Hijab.

There is even a bear that prays - you will go down a rabbit hole.

I am presuming that you are worried about offending. I am sure they will be happy to receive anything, you give them with love.

Anything you would give an other child their age. Books, clothes , board games , fancy school bags/ pencil box etc for the 6 year old.
Some nice cotton clothes, play mat, soft toys, bath items etc for the new born.
Have a lovely time in Morocco.

Does the child understand English, 'Ramadan around the world'is a book that, well does what it says on the title.

Don't over think it OP. Muslim children play with exactly the same toys as any other children of other faiths. Just get whatever you would get for any other child of their ages that will fit in your case.

A teddy for the baby and coloured pens/pencils for the 6 year old will be fine.

Or something they won't get at home, a red london bus?

As long as it isn't a cartoon of the prophet Mohammed or sweets made with gelatin you will be fine.

I've bought gifts for my daughter's Muslim friends. I've never even considered the fact they're Muslim when gift buying! They just like normal toys/books/games etc. For a newborn I'd buy a nice outfit. Fir a 6 year old girl maybe a game, a craft set or a doll. I'd ask the parents what she's in to then decide.

Contrary to popular belief Muslims are not so easily offended and I'm sure they'll appreciate your gift. Just a warning about sweets. Make sure they're vegetarian. Haribos/marshmallows often have pork gelatine.

Muslim lady here! Honestly try not to over think it 99% of Muslims are not easily offended as many would believe . We have plenty of Peppa pig toys in our house.
