Start using Mumsnet PremiumToys your babies loved?
(15 Posts)My DD will soon be approaching 1 years of age and I want to start picking up some toys for her. She has a few already but I’m wondering what toys your babies really loved? I’d like a mix of educational and just for fun toys. I’m clueless.
Thanks!
hands and footprints aquadoodle was a hit over here x
Thanks @sleepismysuperpower1 - I think she’d love that.

Click clack track was a definite hit.

Toy kitchen (maybe in a few months)
Shopping cart and play food.
Wooden train track.
Balls.
Thank you @ricekrispie22 and @pascha will definitely take a look at those suggestions. Children’s toys are a minefield for me.
Here are some good suggestions: www.youtube.com/watch?v=hX4WDDMjxgE

And, ideally, every toy should be both educational and fun ;)
Tomy eggs are the best toy ever.
Melissa and Doug latches board is pretty cool too.
But the eggs are just fab for ages and ages.
Wooden train set played with over and over especially cranky the crane.
Duplo is for a little bit older but will last much longer than mega blocks in terms of being played with. My Ds who is 9 will still play with it.
Latches baord.
Another vote for Tomy eggs. Dead cert - all babies love them
I find putting them back in the right place with the right colour shell quite therapeutic too
DD really got into cuddly toys that rattle when this age. Jellycat chime ones are good. Also likes xylophones, board books and wooden puzzles.
Yup Tomy eggs, used for ages and I now give as my standard 1yr old gift. I also enjoy putting them back together and get frustrated when bits are missing under the couch etc!!
JUST FOR FUN: tea set, pull along toy, ball, toy kitchen.
EDUCATIONAL: have a look on this website, there are some really good ones here:

Hope this helps! x
