(6 Posts)Hi
Does anyone else find it frustrating that it's very difficult to purchase black dolls in particular I'm looking for the Styling head doll from barbie. I contacted Barbie UK and they said "the ethnic version is not a valuable in the UK due to lack of demand". I just would like to purchase a doll for my daughter that reflects her without having to order online and ship from America at an extortionate price. Does anyone else feel that as diverse as we are in the UK these products should be avalable.
Yes I do feel they should be available. I would have thought London was big enough to create market demand.

This baffles me. How could there not be a demand? I had two black baby dolls in the 80’s and this was rural Northern Ireland. No amazon to order from then! I have no idea where my mum got them. How could it be so difficult to get them in 2018?
They are though. I dont know about barbies but I've bought a variety of dollies for my niece from argos - Asian, African, Caucasian (even a red haired one with very white skin). My sister had black baby dolls when she was little.
Hi,
These are a bit expensive, but REALLY cute!! 😍
Yes, you have to wait 2-3 weeks for it to arrive in the post, but it's worth the wait and shipping is free!
