(3 Posts)Hey! My 6 yo DS has a physical disability. It doesn't affect him 24/7 but does affect him 70% of his moving and walking around.
I want to get fit and start fast walking/running but I can't do it with pushing a wheelchair. I want him to be able to get the exercise as well.
Hes not very daring! Just wondered if there was a scooter/ another set of wheels that any one could recommend for a 6 year old - other than a bike - he hates bikes - that he could be alongside me whilst I start exercising
Maybe something like this will work: souzu.co.uk/products/navy-blue-5-in-1-scooter-with-lights-1
This scooter from SOUZU works if he wants to scoot himself or if you want to assist him.
The Maxi Micro is the recommendation of physiotherapists for children with poor muscle tone and coordination www.johnlewis.com/maxi-micro-deluxe-scooter-5-12-years/p2593533
It's expensive, so perhaps you'll be able to find something similar but cheaper
