We are moving house next month and it has a lovely big garden! We were thinking of getting a trampoline for the children who are 4,6 and 8! Can anyone recommend one? What size?

I recommend a springfree trampoline. Pricy but amazing. We bought the oval. Seriously, it's the best thing we have bought since moving house.

If your children are sensible and look after their toys, I wouldn't get a spring free trampoline. I've explained to my DC about keeping off and away from the springs and they understand. We also keep the plastic circular spring guard around the outside in good condition and they know to tell me if they see it coming untied anywhere. We don't have a problem. Our 14ft trampoline has been a good size for accommodating both my dc at the same time safely (they think it's much more fun to bounce together). My DD also does back bounces, little flips etc... and I'd worry if she was on a smaller trampoline. Ours is a Jumpking and it's sturdy and durable.

I'm not sure it's just about being sensible. Accidents can still happen. Especially with the younger kids.

We got a 10ft one in the end so that it fitted in behind the garage without taking up too much of the garden and being an eyesore. Best Buy ever as the children love it! They can all fit at once but they are quite sensible on it and tend to take it in turns to bounce and the other two watch, they also love to play musical bumps on it and the boys like playing ball. We got one with a surround so no chance of getting the aprons as the enclosure is tied down before the springs.

We’ve had a 10ft one for almost 9 years. I got it when dd1 was 2 and each baby has learnt to jump, somersault and do tricks on there since. My kids are 10, 6 and 4. They all love playing outside and are really active on there and have never got bored of it in all these years. It’s one of the best “toys” I’ve ever bought.
