(25 Posts)Basically what I've asked above
Anything with a steering wheel!
A tractor with 5 animals and a farmer that is a bear. It's from toys r us. about £20.
I have to put it away when other babies come over because he WONT share! Hes not 1 anymore but got his for his birthday and has played with it every single day. Almost a year later, still loves it.
He's also loving a hideous blue bear from pound land 😂 keeps finding it from the bottom of the toybox!
Djeco stacking boxes. Set of ten with arty drawings on the sides. He loved them from 10mo till now at 2 yrs 2 mo. He has played with them every single day despite having lots of other stuff.
A large fisher and pickle car transporter with cars that he loads in and out if it.
He has a ball table from the early learning centre. Loves it!
the bloody TV remote, argh! haha DD turns 1 in a couple of weeks and don't want to waste money on stuff she won't bother with so shamelessly placemarking here to see what people suggest x
@daydream86 haha also my reason for posting! My lo also LOVES the remote. I found an amazing half price ride on toy in Tesco that you can store blocks in and it has all kinds of buttons. Also getting a smart trike cos I just couldn't resist and I'm telling myself it's an investment.
Thank you everyone for your comments - super helpful and I'm feeling inspired for Christmas!
I'm keen to get some Tomy eggs cos lo know likes kids and opening, closing absolutely anything!
Was tempted with wheelybug initially but had a chat with myself about price and likelihood of lo actually using it...slim to none!
*Lids not kids!
Also one of his favourite toys at the moment is the attachment hose of the hoover! Loves it!
The dog water bowl mostly. Every time I turn around he's standing in it, tipping it over or throwing things in it. Little toad.
A toy buggy
The kitchen pans and a wooden spoon (play pans, even ikea metal ones, are not good enough)
Books with sounds
Set of 10 stacking cups. Used on the carpet, in the bath, in the sandpit etc. Best present anyone bought him and probably only cost about a tenner.
Stacking cups, about £2.50 from b&ms I think. And tomy eggs, he plays in his play pen/travel cot with them and spends ages putting them in the stacking cups/under the mattress/in their box. If he's not in his pen I find them everywhere (he especially likes to put them in the cat tree)
@crazycatbaby awww!! Definitely getting some eggs!!
Stacking boxes (still loves them at almost 3) and a latch board from Melissa and Doug. And the TV remote, obviously.
Mine loves toy food particularly the velcro pizza (loads of different sets available, we have this one www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B017XDO37M/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1&tag=mumsnetforum-21 ).
She is also particularly keen on her older brother's brio, and is amazingly efficient at demolishing it.
Oh and we also have the tractor with 5 animals described above. That one has proved quite good value we bought it at about 1 for DS, and aged 2.5 he still plays with it - he takes the animals out and uses it to transport his bricks.
His Winnie the pooh teddy and anything with wheels!
Oh and books with flaps (argh hate that word!) But he thinks they are for tearing out. Lots of books ruined!
DD is 20 months and obsessed with her toy motorbikes and tea cup set
And My Pal Violet. She comes fucking everywhere with us. Usually in the toy pram.
My DD has her tomy eggs out every day. And her little tea set, she gets a cup and a spoon and tried to stir it Only other thing that is used every day is her play tent, and the bonus is that all of her teddies live in it!
My son has just turned 1. I got him a bubble machine, a ball pit with attached tunnel, talking elmo and cookie monster toys, the tomy eggs and a few sound books. I think he likes the ball pit and tunnel the most.
