Hi my son is 9 weeks old and he currently has a play mat which he loves, he also has a jumperoo waiting until he's old enough to use it! I just wondered if anyone had any suggestions for other toys for a 3m+ baby that are value for money and provide hours of enjoyment! Thankyou Smile

My son is 3 months and we have some chew toys, some books with rings to hang from his play mat, a door hanger/bouncer (which he loves) rubber duckies for bath time (which he loves) some keys for his pram and wrist rattles. We also have an image/light projector (that he babbles away to) tomorrow we are going to be getting him a donut as he really likes to see everything... He gets one toy a day as we don't want to over stimulate him. X

At 3 months my DC liked lying on the floor with hanging toys above him, sitting in his chair and watching the big kids play, we did foot painting, gave him jangly keys, He would laugh at Tomy squeaking eggs, and liked Lamaze stacking bugs. And would love holding anything he could put in his mouth; wooden blocks were a good one; especially the cylinders

Now at 6 month dc loves his Sophie the giraffe, some plastic keys, his singing dog and whatever stuff he can snaffle from his toddler sister - plastic teapot etc. He loves his jumperoo, door bouncer, will still quite happily sit with wooden blocks or hold things in his hand.

Why don't you make up a treasure basket?

Double you wont overstimulate him if he has more than 1 toy a day to play with.

Thankyou - some really great suggestions can't wait to get hold of some. Smile

Iguess...Sounds blonde but what is a treasure basket? What sort of things did you include?

He's also getting interested in things that light up. Someone gave him a horrid plastic vetch 'book' for Christmas. He really enjoys turning the pages, making it sing and seeing the lights.
