Some toys that could attract his attention, educational one are much better like putting shapes into places.

Jigsaws, mine was obsessed at that age.
Also basin of water, lots of plastic tubs and a big mat.

Brio train track and big plastic toy garage are the toys my nearly 2 year old plays with best independently.

DS1 is 3.3 yrs and he still can't manage sticker books alone. He needs help to peel the stickers off. So I'd be wary of expecting a 23 month old to play independently with a sticker book. Crayons and drawing paper work better for independent play IME.

DS1 would happily play alone for ages with his wooden train set by 23 months. Duplo too.

Playbomil 123
Happyland stuff

Id avoid stickers as it can be a while before they manage to be able to peel them off the sheet.

I think at that age your key is novelty. What I did when DD came along, was make a series of "busy bags" some with new stuff some with old but the key was variety. So there was one with stickers and crayons and paper, one with jigsaw stuff, some threading bobbins, a new book and for desperate times there was a DVD one.
