Boardiegirl · 19/10/2013 19:39

I have bought preloved 2 Smoby dolls for my sisters twins for Christmas,( amongst other things, please dont judge!).
The clothes and hair are perfect but when i undressed them there are a few, old, sunk in biro marks on the legs :(

Ive tried Flash with bleach on a scouring pad but its not working
Anyone recommend anything please??

hair spray and scrub or baby wipes.

Baby wipes? Work for most things worryingly. Or nail polish remover/turps

Hope you can get it off

Hairspray takes it out of leather sofas (from experience!) so prob will work.

Apparently spraying deodorant on biro and rubbing with a cloth works. Have not tried this myself but she swears by it. And she's full of 'top tips' Grin

Troed these; the best was nail polish remover but still didnt remove it all. Seems if its soaked in nothing shifts it!

Unless someone knows better....??

White spirit? It removes permanent markers from whiteboards.

Contact the pen manufacturer for advice?

The pen marks may have been there for many years, getting rid completely may be a big challenge.

Is the doll one which you can soak completely? If so, stick it in a washing up bowl filled with Milton, leave it over night. Dry it. Then try the nail varnish remover again. Never know a bit more may come off.

The dolls have clothes, just put those on the dolls... Pretend not to notice the marks, the children may not care about the marks.
