Mio electronic Robot Dog

I bought one of these dogs about two or three years ago but it never got played with and ended up on a shelf. I just got it down today (during a maga big clean up clear up!)and noticed that its ears were 'wet' they had dew drops on and felt slick as if oil had leaked out.It had also left a 'wet' patch on the back of the unit where its tail had been resting. The tail and ears were also yellow instaed of white. I wiped them off with baby wipes but then when I picked up the dog around the middle there was clear oil also underneath, coming from the speaker holes.I was going to donate it or sell it on ebay but don't want to pass it on if this is not a good problem.
I wonder if anyone else has had one of these dogs and had similar problems?
Or heard about this before?
I did an online search but couldn't seem to find anything much about them appart from how great they were and bambino mio nappies!

Just thought i'd refresh this to see if anyone had any further advice on this!

Have you owned one of these dogs? Do you know anyone who has? Have you ever heard of them 'leaking'?

If theres no joy I might have to take it to recycling.
