Can anyone recommend a car track?

My DS will be six soon and has asked me for a car track like the one he uses at school. It's about 6 or 7 cm wide and has corners and straight bits. The ends get put together in a similar way to a jigsaw puzzle and can be used to create as many different lay outs as you can imagine. The one from school came from Tescos but after looking through their site I can't see anything similar. I've also checked other sites, but everything seems to be a brand and tracks have to be put together a certain way, like hot wheels or can only be used for a certain size of car often from the same brand. And DS wants one he can put together in his own layouts and then play with all his cars. Please can anyone let me know if they have seen something which sounds similar? Thank you!
