I really can't think what to get DH for Valentine's Day. Every year I'm useless at finding something and am running out of time. He's got lots of aftershave, doesn't really drink indoors, not really a chocolate fan...

What are you getting your OHs?

SluttyButty Fri 09-Feb-18 11:18:56

Nothing, I never do, it’s just not our thing. I’m no use am I grin

No Butty no help to me! You're so lucky though, makes it much easier smile

What's your budget roughly? What hobbies/interests does he have?

Last year my DH got me something he wanted, so this year I'm getting myself something nice. Sorry I'm no help either

Mine usually gets a card and a single red rose.

My budget is around £30. He works a lot so doesn't really have time for hobbies but he likes gadgets. It's so difficult!

Nothing either way here either.

It is all a load of bollix if you ask me, only advantage is for restaurants and card/bouqet makers.

I hate manufactored stuff like this. Soryyyy

Echo dot? Think it's on offer for 40 so a bit over budget but very gadgety...

French press and some fancy coffee for work?

New travel mug?

New underwear (for either of you!)

Nice food for a dinner in for two!

As for me it varies, we've been together 20 years.some years it's been over the top (pre-kids) some years it's been mutually agreed nada, some years I've got something and he hasn't.

This year I'm getting him a fancy gadget for his bike. He's been hankering after it but not expecting it so will be a complete surprise and much more than I'd normally spend. It's just an excuse really to buy him something to say thanks for how good he's been since our 2nd baby has come along and just generally being my favourite person (pass the sick bucket)

DVD or cinema take you?

A home made voucher for a romantic meal/ movie/ massage ...whatever floats your boat?

I would prefer not to do it, I agree it is money making and our anniversary is a couple of months later. Still DH always wants to do cars and present.

Thanks for the above ideas but still not for him, he has an Alexa or echo dot already and we got a coffee machine. I’m sure women are much easier to buy for!

what about a little hamper - could be something like 'breakfast in bed' nice coffee, biscuit, fancy jam, pastries

I thought Valentines day was for love struck teenagers.
We don't even do cards.

My OH would think I had lost the plot or was having an affair if I bought him a valentines gift!
