Just booked a summer holiday to Rome smile

I'm keen for my children to get a lot out of it so want to buy them some books about Rome and the Romans, fiction and non-fic. Any ideas? they are 11 and 9yo and keen readers.

Thank you.

Julius Zebra is a funny book about a zebra who becomes a gladiator. My 8 year old loved it.

My 9 yo has enjoyed some of the Roman Mysteries series by Caroline Lawrence.

I haven't read any but they seem to be a bit famous five in Ancient Rome from DDs description.
