I’m hoping to build some muscle so I think I understand that I need to be in a TDEE calorie excess of 15-20% for this. Then I need to cut to reveal the muscle growth by cutting my calories to 5-10% less than TDEE.
But...how long are these cycles normally? And should I be going heavier for less reps?
As an idea of what I’m lifting (I’m fairly new to this and I really have the bug now):
For my main compound moves I’m squatting 55kgs at the mo & deadlifting 65kgs for 3 x 10.
