How long til I start to see a difference?

So I started weight training at the gym last week and plan to go 3 times a week for an hour each time.

I am following the complete guide to weight training book by Anita Bean and have started on a mixture of machine and free weights.

When can I expect to start seeing a difference to the way I look?

I'm not weight training per se, but have been doing Body Pump 3 x per week since the beginning of feb. Could see a subtle difference within 3 weeks and a decent difference after 7 weeks. Hoping to continue seeing a difference for some time yet!

My arms are more toned, lost a couple of inches from my waist and legs are definitely a better shape.

Thank you for the reply. That's really encouraging. I'm hoping to see a noticeable difference by the time we go on holiday in August.
