Do you believe in these?

Do you believe in Angel numbers? I'm not normally wooo or spiritual but for the past 3 or so months I've seen angel numbers constantly. Not just clocks but in day to day life. To begin with I didn't have a clue what it could mean but now I think it's to do with me wanting to change my career and going to uni. Obviously this is a massive life change. I've been thinking about this for a while before I started seeing the numbers. I've also seen a few white random feathers over the past 6 months.

So do you believe in them? Have you seen any and had as life changing experience soon after?

I have an 'angel investment' in a technology company and I am hoping I can turn my £5,000 into £1,000,000 !!!!

Is that what you mean?

I have a lucky number, which if there is a raffle and I can ask to have that number or that number as part of a bigger number and it will always win a prize.

Nothing terribly exciting just prizes at charity events etc.

No idea what an angel number is so I will have to google.

They aren't lucky numbers. 11:11 os a common one. This is the definition I got off Google.

Angel numbers are the recurring number sequences like 11:11, 333 and 444 that carry meaning and symbolism from the angels. In addition to offering a general validation that you have angels with you, the different number sequences all carry deeper specific guidance

I always see 15:15 Or I got an appointment for 10:10 Or I see 333. Things like that. Apparently it means they are a guidance towards something good in your life. As I said above I wasn't sure what? But I'm thinking maybe it's to do with my big life changing decision atm??

So anyone had these?

You saw feathers - things wot come from birds - in summer, when there are more birds about, a lot of birds moult their feathers, grow their first true ones or get caught, partially plucked and eaten by cats, foxes and other predatory species, including other birds? And that's significant in terms of supernatural entities?

OK...

You've got something on your mind and you are subconsciously looking for things that will confirm or deny the decision you wish to make.

No
But I did wonder why a few years ago someone was so pleased when they were telling me they met their husband on 11 11. I could tell by the way she said it it was significant to her.
She is very woo, but very successful and with it too.

Surely it’s just as random that you see 12.44 or the like they’re just numbers Confused
There was a long thread recently on feathers where some one got vilified for daring not to believe in them... (they are just feathers)

It’s confirmation bias. You’re subconsciously looking for these numbers, so when you see them it seems meaningful or ‘destined’ in some mystical way.

Based on your OP, could you explain how seeing certain numbers is an angelic sign relating to wanting to change career? Does seeing certain numbers mean you should change career? If so, why do they mean that? How does getting allocated an appointment for 10:10 relate to your career aspirations? What about all the many numbers you encounter on a daily basis that aren’t your predecided ‘special’ numbers? Do they negate the special ones? Are they a sign that you shouldn’t change careers? Or were the angels having a day off and didn’t send you your ‘special’ numbers?

I’d question the sanity and/or intelligence of anyone who believed in this stuff or used it to make major life decisions.

When I was pregnant I woke up at the exact same time every morning. 3:22am. For about a month. I honestly did get freaked out. But I don't believe in the woo.
I always seem to look at the clock at ten to ten (cowboy time!)....

Wow ok didnt expect such negative responses. Some people believe in things some people don't. Just like religion I guess. But you wouldn't walk around saying the vast majority of the population are crazy for that.

I saw the feathers in winter not in summer.

Feathers come from birds. Angels are fantasy. Numbers are everywhere. It all means nothing.

I can't see how waking up at 3:33am and standing in cat sick is guidance towards something good.

Birds moult (or get attacked by cats) all year round so you see feathers.

BUT if it's something you believe in then that's your choice. People believe in all sorts of things I don't. As long as you're not harming yourself or others I get no say in what you want to do.

We all see numbers all the time. You are just noticing the ones you want to notice.

And yes I do largely think most people who have a fervent religious belief are a bit crazy :-)

No it’s nonsense.
And fwiw I do think people who believe in god are crazy too.

Google confirmation bias.

And maybe think about getting some advice from someone who knows about the career you want to move into about the practicalities of the change.

Ok, so if it’s something you believe in, can you answer any of my questions about the exact basis of how and why these numbers have meaning or influence?

If it’s something you believe in, then presumably you’ve given it a lot of thought and have acquired some reasoning for why a 10:10 appointment means you should do a certain thing in your life, but encountering another random number doesn’t mean the opposite.

Seeing as you mentioned it, my view is that religion is a form of unverified superstition too.

When my only, dearly loved, sister died I was devastated and I couldn't get over the fact that I hadn't been there for her when she needed me. A few weeks later I started waking up at 3.33 am every morning. There were three letters in her (shortened) name and her full first name had three syllables and it rhymed with three. It might sound crazy to other people but I took this as a comforting sign that she was trying to send me her love and tell me that it was okay.

So if I look at the clock at 11:11 something special will happen to me? Are you high?

Sulking that this ridiculousness is the same as religion is not helping you sound more reasonable.

Humans are meaning makers. We add greater meaning to things that have none, and we are more likely to remember and focus on things that give weight to those ideas.

E.g. Waking up in the night - generally we all wake up multiple times but don't remember them. Often people who talk about waking up at a "special" time repeatedly and only that time will have woken up at other times too, but are only remembering the one they've given meaning. Or their body had adjusted to their need to wake up at that time.

Bearing in mind the likelihood that any given clock displaying 3:33 or whatever is actually displaying the accurate time (and is time a real thing or an invented thing?) is slim I somewhat doubt it's a communication from the universe.

But if you want to change your life, why do you need feathers and clock times to tell you to go for it rather than deciding "I am going to make this happen"?

As this is a UK site it is reasonable for people to assume to are in the UK and so the last six months included the summer.
So maybe clarify that.

And I found it comforting when forget-me-nots appeared in my garden after my mum died. But I knew it wasn't actually my mum making them grow. It was just something that took the edge off the pain, which is fine.
