Have you ever seen a UFO?

I haven't but my mum said in the 70s she was driving through Wales with her family and her and my aunt could both see a bbig bright light in the sky. It appeared to follow them and stay above the car, almost blinding light. They were shouting and pointing but their parents couldn't see a thing and told them to stop being silly.

They were both under 10 and still remember it vividly. She says it was a round bright light that moved smoothly and silently.

And my mum is not woo at all!

I have seen several unexplained lights in the sky. Not a clue what I saw but felt very woo hoo..
Years ago my df's ndn knocked him out of bed to tell him about the round thing he saw in the back garden.
Poor bloke was terrified.
It was a windy night and it was a round washing up bowl blowing about the garden! Would love to have time to research UFOs - we can't be alone of which I am certain!!

Used to live near an airport.
Woke up one night to find the garden lit up by a huge light.

Opened the window thinking it was a police helicopter but there was no noise. Complete silence just a powerful light from above.

The following morning on the news the crew on a flight coming into land at the airport sighted lights in the sky and it was put down as a UFO

A washing up bowl 😂😂

I assume many reports have a completely mundane explanation but there are some that just are quite mind blowing.

My DH and I had to travel down a country lane to get to his house when we were courting, there is a chapel near to the end and we saw a big round light (red and yellow) above it not moving or any noise. It was in the local paper the vicar had also seen it and had called the local Bobby who was already going to the chapel as a couple of people called it in.. No explanation was ever given.

Yes, around 25 years ago at a beach in Australia. I have posted about this before... 4 bright orange lights, slightly bigger than the stars. Firstly moving across the sky in a vertical formation. I saw them and said to the person I was with ‘What’s that?’ Almost immediately the lights started zig zagging around and then all four super quick shot off in the same direction leaving a trail of light behind like the Millennium Falcon entering hyper speed 😁 Have only seen this once in my life and no idea what the lights were... but I often look up in to the night sky hoping to see them again...

Seawitch... Do you think they were seperate lights or lights all on one veichle?

Wow Burlea that's odd!

One day when I was about 19 I was walking home and passed a group of children who were pointing excitedly at the sky. I looked up and saw a cluster of very bright lights which were moving about in a very odd way, kind of zigzagging from one place to another but very fast and quite far. I have no idea what it could possibly have been. The kids were spooked and all ran off to tell their parents. I told when I got home and got the piss ripped out of me, so I'm guessing the kids got the same. Grin

I find it really interesting how people automatically laugh at people who have seen these things. There's so many stories, wouldn't you be a bit nieve to think there's nothing going on up there?

I've also seen something in the sky when i was younger. It was a bright light orange light that was moving erratically in a left right motion, far faster then anything man made. Then after about 20 seconds it just disappeared.

Not seen anything since but I've scoured the internet and still haven't found anything that sounds similar.

I like Carl Sagan's 'if there isn't it's an awful waste of space'.

However it seems unlikely that there would be another highly advanced civilisation able to travel the vast distances which would be necessary, and at the same time we are here, which in cosmological terms is less than the blink of an eye.

My mum has a story like yours OP - I've never seen one. In 1960s, in rural Sussex, where she lived at the time in early evening I think, a circular expanse of lights like a flying saucer which they followed in their car. DM swears blind how the lights were etc it was a flying saucer and nothing else. Her first DH saw it too but she hasn't heard from him for years. Accordingly to them they hadn't been drinking either.

She did write to a society or something but apparently nothing was being tested or was seen in the area.

Not seen anything that couldn't be explained logically. I do however think there are definitely inhabited planets/ships out there, just not as advanced as making it here & also no reason to.

Spoo I think there were four separate lights/vehicles/entities but who knows?
Otherwise Natural and Fire seem to describing similar experiences to mine - bright orange lights, zig zagging at an incredible speed and a sudden disappearance... Interesting Smile

Quick name change for this because it’s a bit outing to people I know are on here.

A few years ago some friends and I were driving home in the absolute arse end of nowhere (all totally sober) at about 1am when we noticed, flying right alongside us above the field next to the road, was a huge black triangle.

We all assumed it was a military jet (rural, military city, not an unusual sight) but then realised there was no sound & it didn’t appear to be travelling faster than our car (60ish). The triangle was on its side so two lights at the back, one above the other & a light at the front. Another car in front of us had completely slowed down, obviously looking at the UFO too. Both back lights suddenly turned off & whatever it was sped off & disappeared. A police car with its sirens on then shot past us (probably a coincidence but it adds to the drama haha).

This was years ago now but it still makes me feel weird! Probably a totally innocent explanation but it freaked us all out.

No, I haven't, and I'm skeptical. The thing that stands out to me, is that just at the point when everyone has a video camera in their pocket, the sightings tail off dramatically. Now why would that be? I'm sure there are aliens somewhere but I reckon when they come it'll be more like Independence Day, they won't be mincing about trying not to be seen.

I think we have. My husband were sitting on the foothills of a large mountain near Wollongong, Australia (well not large by European standards but it stands out in the area). We were gazing eastward at the stars and saw what we assumed to be a satellite moving slowly from north to south. It was definitely way too high to be a plane - basically looked like a moving star. Then it stopped which was a bit strange. It stayed still for about two minutes whilst my husband and I debated whether satellites stop orbiting or not (they don't). Then it suddenly shot across the sky back the way it came (so south to north) at amazing speed, without burning out or any noticeable acceleration. This was 23 years ago and haven't found a reasonable explanation.

Two years ago we were completely alone near another large mountain (Mt Banks) in the Blue Mountains to go stargazing on Bew Years Eve. We were sitting in the car waiting for it to get a bit darker when I got out to get the kids some chocolate from the trunk. Then I saw this orb of light moving silently across the sky followed by another one.I excitedly called my husband and kids out and whilst we were watching, they suddenly flickered out as they approached the city (Sydney). I posted on a UFO forum about it the next day and found out that they were likely to be US NOSS satellites which are low orbiting. So a little disappointed 😄 with that!!

redsheep the aliens are being more careful now! 😜

I believe. Aliens definitely exist. I think there is a big government conspiracy particularly around Area 51. I think it goes deeper than we’ve know and I think people have been silenced.

After the second incident, I told my dad about the first one half expecting that he would laugh at me about it - he can be a bit rough at times like that. He didn't at all but much to my surprise but told me about something he and my mother had experienced either when we were very small and unfortunately asleep in the back of the car. They were driving up a long mountain pass (again in the Blue Mountains) when my mum suddenly said "A, what's that?' and pointed off to a valley at the side. An absolutely enormous silver, cigar shaped object was flying slowly through the valley . Dad said he'd never seen anything like it. There was no sound. They listened to the radio/TV all day after that and about five hours later there was a radio report of meteor sightings . Dad said it was definitely not a meteor.

I asked him why he didn't tell us about this incident all these years and he said he didn't want us to think they were crazy.

I think they will be military planes, countries spying on each other. Our technology is probably more advanced than we are told.

User your Wollongong experience also sounds similar to mine and was also 20 plus years ago in Australia!
I would be interested to know if either satellites or military aircraft can actually manoeuvre in the way I saw these objects move... slowly at first and then zig-zagging incredibly fast prior to zooming off in the same direction leaving a trail of light behind...
If anyone has any insider knowledge of these things [that's not classified Grin please let us know!

I haven't seen one but I do have a relative who made one and caused great excitement in the UFO spotting community.

Has anyone seen that doc on Netflix about Bob Lazar? It's pretty interesting. He claims to have worked at area 51, and talks about reverse engineering UFO technology.
