Which even today, you can't explain?

When I was at college a girl called Lara died in a car accident Sad

We were all called into a meeting about it. Then our lecturer who was holding a pile of wipe clean laminated cards for us to write on turned over the first card to see 'Lara' written there.

I have a very clear memory of speaking to an old lady in black, sitting on the bed in the attic bedroom of the hitse if family friends of ours. I was 3. I also remember the father of the family staring at me in disbelief when I told him where I had been. There had always been a myth that the house was haunted by a nun, but not one had ever seen her..

Actually weirder still was my dd when she was a baby. I heard her crying upstairs and suddenly realised I was holding her Confused (not crying)

I was in a car on the motorway as a child. I had an awful feeling as we drove behind a large truck. It kept getting worse until i asked my dad to change lanes. Moments after he did the back doors of the truck swang open and hundred of bales of newspapers fell out onto the motorway Shock

Ooh just two days ago. I had my window open on the must humid muggy day ever and I live 230ft up in my flat a freak gust of wind managed to knock a glass photo frame backwards Shockout of a window ledge that had a big thick frame in place so that you can't really push anything out the window if this makes sense. I heard it smash the whole way to the ground I'm so lucky it didn't hurt anyone Blush

Not me, but my dad. He was away for the W/e in the 1960s. He stopped in a B&B on his way home, and thought the room was occupied when he got there. He started talking and realised that the man sitting in the corner of the room was the ghost of his father. His parents lived abroad and he hadn’t known that his dad was even unwell. Anyway, they had a chat, DDad said it was very reminiscent and his father gave him instructions for his funeral. He got home the next morning to a telegram from his brother telling him that their father had died the previous evening. The instructions for the funeral DGF had left in his will were exactly what his ghost had told DDad in the b&b.

A grand aunt of mine was nursing in a hospital in London during the blitz. One night everyone had been moved to the basement for safety and she was sleeping on the floor under a statue of St. Joseph. She was awoken by what she thought was a patient calling her name. She got up to check but all of the patients were asleep. Just then a bomb hit the hospital causing the massive statue to fall where she would have been sleeping! She went on to become a nun and took the name Joseph in thanks.

I was visiting my friend's very ill wife in hospital. She was in a coma and we were sitting next to her silently, just watching her breathing. I am chubby and always boiling hot, but I suddenly started shivering and couldn't stop. After a moment or two of this, we looked at each other and said at exactly the same time 'she's gone'. We just knew she had, even though she was still breathing in bed. We actually couldn't get out of there quick enough. It was icy cold, but normal temperature in the corridor. We were informed about 40 minutes later she had died, but I really feel we were there as her spirit left her body. It really was so shocking to feel.

missmouse that is amazing. Can you elaborate further? I wasn't with my mum when she died so didn't experience anything really.

Lots and lots probably sound far fetched tbh.
So will tell you the most recent. I stayed in the car while dd's ran into a shop to collect an item, sat 'people watching', saw a white silhouette of a person disappear into a brick wall.

I really don’t believe in any of this stuff but when my DS was having a c-section, we were all waiting excitedly/nervously at our DM’s. All of a sudden we heard this clear ‘mum’ shouted in panic. No near neighbours. Thank goodness all was fine as if anything had happened to DS, I would have sworn it was her. No idea what it was still though.

I have too many to mention here, but one of them:
I used to work in a nursery that was reportedly haunted. It was a new building that was in the grounds of a school and all the teachers used to report weird goings on.
We had a member of staff that had a very distinctive voice. She would without fail walk into the room and shout " heeeyyyy kids".
That member of staff was away on training and wasn't due back that day. Another member of staff and I were working in the toddler room which was based at the front of the building, separated from the other nursery rooms, by a coded door.
We were sitting feeding the childreb their snack and we heard " heeyyy kids" in the other staff member's voice. Clear. As. Day.
We looked at each other and I said " oh didn't realise she was back early, she can cover your break".
Other staff member said " yeah she must have finished early, she's not due to come in, wonder why she's here".
I went to call in the staff member, no sign of her. She hadn't come back at all and wouldn't be in till the next day. My friend and I both heard her voice, clear as day. It was undeniably her, yet she wasn't there. So what was it?

Another time the same staff member and I heard animal growling noises coming from one of the children's toilets while we were cleaning at the end of the day and the room was empty. Also while cleaning that toddler room, someone would knock a tune on the door, but would never be anyone there. Quite a few staff experienced this.

I’ve said about this before on MN.

When my grandad was poorly I was a teen and was at home with mum helping wash up. Clear as a bell I heard the tune of a carriage clock chime....we didn’t have one at ours but my grandparents did and it chimed that exact distinctive tune every hour.

My mum heard nothing even though stood next to me. Five/ten minutes later my aunt rang to say my grandad had just died.

I only like the orange ones and all my dc know that!!
Many years ago when home alone doing housework, I was cleaning out the cat litter tray and washing the floor.
While down there an orange opal fruit fell on my head!!
Nobody in remember.
While cleaning the work tops I swiped a hand made earring by accident and it fell into the manky black bag - used cat litter etc in. Bit gutted but decided the earring was indeed a goner.
A fortnight or so later the pair of earrings were in my jewellery box in my bedroom.
That was the start of over 25 years of bizarre happenings.
Many many more.

Some years ago I had just had an operation and was just coming round, the nurse by my bedside started calling my name in English, I responded to her in German, she then called another nurse who spoke the language, and we had a conversation. When I was fully awake, and was told about it I was astounded, never learnt a foreign language in my life, never been to Germany or had German friends. Strange but true.
