Ok so wasn't sure where to post this

Warning that this might sound daft

I have been under a lot of stress lately and not sure whether it's impacting in me making me see things??

So I went to my back yard to open back gate to let my kids have their bikes to play in the front (very massive garden) and we have chickens so that's why i went out to ensure they didn't escape if kids left gate opened.

Anyway when I went out, I saw a top cat ( bear in mind we get about 5-6 cats a day wandering our garden because it's big and lots of trees and bushes all around it) anyway I saw 2 black kittens ( very small) with this Tom cat which was not even black)

Anyway i thought look how cute they are so went to get my phone from house to take a pic for my sister ( she loves cats)

When I walked away one kitten legged it side of shed and the other appeared to run into my shed so when I come back out i take a pic of the one in the shed. Then i went side of shed and saw a tiny body of kitten under a ladder and thought it was actually dead as it wasn't moving. Then I went back in the house thinking I'm seeing things and losing the plot.

This big black cat has been wandering around my shed for weeks, it's been coming in and out of my shed for weeks too. So I suspected that the cat gave birth in my shed and they were her kittens

But now I'm wondering if I'm losing it and I was just seeing things today and wondering whether the cat on the shed was just that ordinary cat. I did move some stuff from my shed to check whether there wasn't any kittens there ( I was concerned for them as thought they would get hurt under all the stuff)

I know this sounds bizarre but I've been under stress lately (martial problems) and wondering whether in losing it. I have children and don't want to lose my kind 😢

Hi Take Two! Speaking from experience, the female cat may move her kittens from time to time if she feels stress or danger. Kittens become mobile, start walking/exploring around the 3-4 week mark. Kittens may die soon after birth, too weak to survive or have not latched on to feed. If the female cat gave birth in your shed, she would have a 'nest' for about 6-8 weeks until the kittens were old enough to fend for themselves. Sorry to hear you're going through a tough time at the moment. Sending a ((((hug)))) to you
