musical toy sound - have no kids

I am expecting my first children (twins) in 2 weeks.

This morning I was sat watching TV downstairs when a musical toy began playing, seemingly from under the sofa.
I have no musical toys, so checked the doorbell chime (unplugged), rewound tv to make sure it wasn't there and checked under sofa... nothing.

The strangest (and most soothing part - the reason I wasn't scared) was that it was a tune my mum used to hum to me when I was little. my mum passed away 9 years ago.

I'm not particularly woo, but like to think this was her way of acknowledging my babies. spooky! Shock

No, more likely you dozed off and was dreaming. That's all

I assure you I was wide awake! its impossible to doze when Charlie Hunnam is on the tv.

Seems significant it's a tune from your childhood. Perhaps you were in a mild trance state which often happens when people watch telly. Combined with all the intense emotions you must be awash with due to expecting twins and your mother not being there to share the experience. Sounds comforting.

Do you have your mum's jewellery box maybe?

It was weird. I didn't feel scared at all and it was only a couple of seconds. I honestly am so sceptical about anything like this, my theory being ive been to spiritualists and mediums etc and got nothing, if my mum wanted to contact me she's had 9 years to do so, and if she could she would have. This was odd though, such a specific tune at such an important time. I know I didn't imagine it, but I feel as though there is some logical explanation ive overlooked!

Whatever the explanation, that's lovely!

Congratulations on your twins.
