Charles Owen have recalled these riding hats.

Just thought I would post this as it's not been overly publicised from what I can see.

Sweepingchange no worries. Glad you have spotted this and will tell your friend. The last thing you want to fail when riding is your hat. I'm quite surprised at this as Charles Owen is usually a good reputable brand and that particular model was not cheap.

I only spotted the recall notice today as I was browsing recalled items on the trading standards website (I tend to check for recalled items once a month or so). I have passed the info to my horsey friends via Facebook but thought I would also post on The Tack Room in the off chance someone owned one and didn't know already.
