Anybody have one of these vehicles? I'm interested in one, would mainly be as my run around to and from yard and probably towing reasonably short distances (60 mile round trip) on average once a month? The one I'm looking at is an older model with high mileage. Any experiences greatly received!

They're fab. Mine's a 2006 diesel and can tow 2800kg. I think post 2009 this reduces somewhat. I average around 30mpg regardless of whether or not I'm towing.

I love mine, its great for towing but watch out for the year- the tax went up alot from one year to the next

A friend of mine had one and it was great for towing - two big 16.2s with no problem, and plenty of space inside.

I heard they won something for being good at towing too.

Thanks. It seems from doing some research online that there is a bit of a split - lots of people saying they think they're great but also quite a few people with horror stories!

I have done a bit of research on various 4x4's as I am looking for a tow car and the Sorrento seems to be the one that gets the most favourable reviews. A couple of friends have them and are both happy with them.

Thanks. I put a deposit down on the one I went to see on Friday so fingers crossed it will turn out to be a good purchase and not got up in a puff of smoke in a couple months time!

I'm one of those with horror stories sadly was great until it got to 7 years old then litterally everything broke I ended up having to sell it broken as it was too expensive to spend more money on -it had already had a small fortune spent by this point (it had been well looked after in all the time I owned it and never towed so definitely wasn't me neglecting it). I would be careful of one with high mileage, my garage guy said they aren't made to last, I'm sure there are exceptions though! Loved it before that though xx
