Riding Hat

After having a few falls where I always land on my head, I thought I should get a new hat.

I wanted a summer vented one without a fixed peek.

Currently wearing a 2.5 Champion Junior plus but after being re-fitted in the saddlers, it would appear that it is the wrong size Shock

I was there for TWO HOURS trying different hats and the only one that seemed to fit was the HS1. But it does not come with vents.

Does anyone have this hat? How does it compare to the Champion Junior that I currently have?

I will be getting a new hat but if there is not any difference weight wise or how hot I will get then I don't see the point in spending out for the HS1.

When I used to ride out racehorses I had the hs1 could wear t for hours and hours it was so comfortable.

I don't find the vented ones like the ventair make that much difference

I've had vented and non-vented - not noticed a difference! The really lightweight ones (Troxels) are VERY lightweight and probably don't pass all the safety standards that helmets such as the HS1 do. If you specifically want no-fixed peak then just go with whatever is comfortable.
