Showing Season just around the corner

Clipped our 12.2 SP fully out this week and plan to start her as soon as the weather relents. Today our Section B got a tummy and chest clip so we can continue riding him more productively and start jumping him again. The 13h SHP had gone back into production and was clipped last week. We're driving down to sit on him tomorrow. First time DD will have sat on him since October - hoping that a nice long break will have put some weight on him and freshened him up for a busy novice season. Sat on a possible spare for Juniors this morning as well (DD loved the pony but not impressed by riding in hailstorm!).

We've got our own area Winter show in two weeks so everything seems to be gearing up. DD has been measured for her show jackets (new tweed and blue) so hopefully they will be delivered soon.

Anybody else getting ready for the new season? Maybe some of you have already started!

Dpony safely settled with a producer near home as I no longer have the time to home produce. He's clipped out and has wintered really well, think he looks better now than he did for HOYS in some ways!

Good luck everyone.

Good luck Maria - glad that he's looking in top order!

DD enjoyed her ride this morning - SHP looks great after his clip and has begun to strengthen. Still a bit green when practising gallop but a few goes up the all-weather gallop will hopefully get him going.

Stopped off at Ingatestone Saddlery on way home. Sadly they don't sell Regent jod boots but DD managed to find some bling jods instead!

One is still unsat on since HOYS but may go to some parties late spring, got a new furry jobbie which I have to resist the urge to pull and trim! Got winter tickets for the newbie and eyeing up Hartbury as a season opener. Good luck all!

We went to Hartbury last year but have decided it is to far for us and the ponies!

Will go to Area 16 (Topthorn) to Steward but tossing up between Area 15a (Patchetts) on Feb 21st or Area 7 (Addington) the following day for our first outing.

Hartbury proved lucky for us last year! Come to Patchetts, great facilities and a friendly crew :-)

Patchetts would be handier but they only have a mixed height class whereas Addington are running all the different heights (but clash with DD's hockey tournament!). Decisions, decisions..
