ok- I'm giving you all one more chance to rename our new pony. He's a bqlck Dales with a star, a snip and a sock.

Currently he's called Louie, which we don't like, but which will stick if we haven't thought of something else by the time he arrives at 11.00 tomorrow.

please..........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you want something that sounds a bit like Louie or are you not bothered?

We can't think of anything like Louie we like. We'd keep it on his passport anyway, so no, it doesn't have to be like Louie

So far the only RL suggestions we've sort of liked are Banner, Drummer or Pippin (hobbit not apple)

In homage to our fabulous Olympics, how about a nod to Mo Farah or Ursain Bolt?? I m trying to work Mo or Ursain into a horsey name.....

Ds has a hobby horse called louie and he says it in such a cute way...loooooweeeee that I love the name!
I was going to suggest pippa when I read the title but for a boy I like pippin too.
I also like charlie and William as I had ponies with those names :)

I wish so much you could call him Black Boy (from the Jill books) am guessingyou would get Hmm face a lot though.

I love Pippin, but I wonder whether it's a bit delicate sounding. He is very sturdy!

I doubt if Rapide would suit him either, Puffin.

Actually, I quite like Puffin........

If I had a black pony I would call it Raven. Probably not very original!

Or how about Merry instead of Pippin. Still a hobbit.

Sorry dn't know much about ponies but am presuming the term Dales means the breed originated from Yorkshire so have you thought of place names such as
Brindley
Hebden
Litton

Or Hindley.

Or Heathcliff. I quite like this! Your horse is black, he had a black soul!

Or going with the LOTR feel, Bill?
