Anyone sold a horsebox recently? Where and how?!

Anyone?
eBay won't let me list it 'cos it's valued over my selling limit (didn't even know I had a selling limit).
It's been on Horsedeals and Pre-loved, as well as posters up locally and around the clubs and i've had absolutely no interest. I don't think it's over priced and the ad is realistic - i.e. it lists its faults as well as its good points. I also know couple of other people who are trying to sell and getting nowhere either so I don't think it's personal :)

So, if you've sold recently - where did you advertise and how long did it take?

TIA

I guess its the wrong time of year really - if you don't have transport, you aren't likely to buy towards the end of the show season, and people aren't changing at this point either.

As someone who will be in the market for one in the spring, if you have a recent inspection/service certificate it would be a massive plus for me. I had my fingers burnt with a trailer that looked great, seller said it was fine, then when I got the local service bloke in after we'd bought it, it was unsafe and uneconomic to repair Sad

CMOT that's awful, some people have no conscience :(
I've always paid for an AA inspection when I'm buying, it's expensive (about £130) but I've walked away from a couple of horrors that looked perfect so worth every penny!

It was MOT'd in July and has tax til Feb so plenty of time left on those.
It's been for sale all summer, so I guess my chances of selling it now are about zero!

Def wrong time of year! If you possibly can leave it until feb/march and sell with as close to 12m tax and mot as you can manage.
If you haven't had any interest and it's been on for a while then maybe look at your pricing,

Haven't sold but have been searching for one for the last year. Eventually decided to have one built for us (on an older chassis).

Chose the company from an advert in Horse and Hound. To be honest, although we swear by Horsequest for horses/ponies, I found H &H the best place to look when buying horseboxes. Sure others may feel the same.

Thanks everyone. Might be best to admit defeat for now then and try again next year.
Will look into H&H though, haven't tried them before.

Horse and Tack Uk often has quite a few adverts for horseboxes. Might be worth having a look at them. Their advert pop up on my FB page quite a lot.

What type of box is it? 3.5/7.5/HGV? You may want to try the Horse Gossip forum as well as the ones mentioned above as they have a page dedicated to horsebox/trailers sales Smile
