Really disappointed that the Game Fair has been cancelled as we were looking forward to it so much. Lots being cancelled round here, mainly as you just can't park on the fields

Yes,we love the Game Fair too, especially when it is close to home.(Dpony's claim to fame is that she was used for the Farrier competition the last time it was at Belvoir].Dh has applied for a refund as we'd booked in advance and we are thinking of going to the Royal Welsh now instead.Or there is always the Midland Game Fair in Sept.Surely it won't still be raining then.....

I'm really hoping to go to Hickstead on thursday, luckily it's really unlikely they'll cancel that! Got my free tickets out of NagMag. The only thing is I'm a bit dubious about dragging ds's wheelchair through all the mud, especially as he weighs a ton it's brand new, seems a shame to ruin it on the first outing.

We live reasonably near Firle, that's at the end of August. I sincerely hope it has stopped raining by then or I might have to drown myself in the swamp back garden! It doesn't even look as if we'll be getting a holiday, there's no fun in camping in this. Next door neighbours have just come back from Devon two days early as they were in danger of being marooned. Good news is, the hosepipe ban has finally been lifted, hurrah!

Quite fancy going to the Royal Welsh too Mirage. Grin at dponys claim to fame - the beautiful boy I ride (and all the other big riding school horses) did that at the 3 Counties the other week.

I'm aiming for the Royal Welsh - there were rumours that because they hadn't cut the silage on the fields used as car parks that it would be cancelled - and it says on their website that they are def going ahead.

I think we'll go on the first day so that it isn't too muddy......

I'm worried about the hay too.My dad,who is 75 reckons that they've never failed to get the hay in yet,and that there is no point in worrying about it.

We had planned to go to a little show tomorrow, but even if it is still on,I don't think I can face trying to clean up two muddy grey ponies, only to get them filthy trudging through the mud at the show.

I follow WPCS On Facebook. Every day another event is cancelled. I'm a market trader/stall holder and do a lot of shows at weekends. They are appallingly bad this year, and many should be cancelled.
I was expected to stand in four inches of water. Whilst serving from an electric refrigerated counter last weekend. I really threw my toys out of the pram at the organisers!
