You've reminded me of a time when I competed at a hunter trial & bumped into a friend whose young daughter was also taking part. When asked by her mother "How did you get on?" the daughter replied "Great - I only fell off once but it's OK, it was between the fences so no-one saw" Confused

Sorry - that probably doesn't help but chances are that since yours are into ponies they will be pretty resilient and able to pick themselves up should they take a tumble.

GD has just started autumn hunting. I spend the entire time scanning the skies for the air ambulance, then embarass her by hugging her when she gets back Blush. God knows what I'll be like when the season proper starts

My parents used to video me and all you could hear was my mother shrieking in the background. She used to get so stressed. I have no idea how you get over it but I'm sure they are having a wonderful time, remember the jumps are safe and will have been built with the competitors in mind.

Proper hunting starts next weekend, now that gets me nervous!

Dpony is hunting on Friday and a friend is taking her,not the dds.Even so I'm planning on taking some Rescue Remedy.Friend took dpony on a trial run up to the kennels and over the jumps in the field behind and apparently dpony was really fired up and hard to hold back,so goodness only knows what she'll be like on the day itself.
