As I am losing my job soon, i thought i had better step things up a level and think about letting my horse go. I have tried to sell her but for one reason or another she is still with me.
She is a chestnut TB x, 18yrs old, good for hacking and some schooling but not jumping. She is well mannered and never bites/kicks/rears etc, and she loves the company of other horses - i will only consider letting her go to a very good home with company of others.

She has no health issues, eg laminitus/sweet itch etc, and great to box/shoe etc.
i will be selling her tack and rugs/other bits and pieces for £200 the lot, as the saddle was expensive when i bought it and is a lovely English leather saddle. The lot includes leather bridle with diamonte headband, heavyweight winter rug and 2 rain sheets, feed bucket/headcollar/rope/grooming brushes/feedbins(if wanted)/wheelbarrow(if wanted.)

Sorry that you have had to come to this decision , if you wanted to loan her and have her back at a point in the future when things were better for you ,of course that would work for us too .

What about donating her to your local RDA?

RDA would be good ,if you can find a local one , you could volunteer and get to see her whenever you wanted .

We have just had to have our lovely old man pts - he was 30, and was a much loved member of our family ( had been with me for 25 yrs). We are all heart broken, and our little section a mare, is now on her own and very lonely. Where are you? We would be interested, to keep our little girl company.

You would be much safer loaning her to a home you can vet and check up on frequently. At that price (and at her age you can't really ask for more money) you may well attract the wrong sort of buyer who will be looking to make a quick profit from her by passing her on to someone else.
