Other requirements for staff room entry include the ability to find the staff room, the ability to find a clean mug in the staff room, knowledge of the photocopier codes, and the ability to sniff out where the toffee vodka is hidden.

If you come with a stick to goad us then that is not allowed in the staffroom, especially if you have not used the hand gel. Close the door quietly on your way out and put your mask on.

Checking in.
We have lots of information about new Covid measures, but we're doing actual lessons tomorrow and...
Classes are not on Satchel One (so can't set HW)
Classes are not on Go4School (so no PP data)
No duty rota
Still no idea what's happening with TAs
No blanket policy on what to implement instead of detentions, we used to do VW530 (verbal warning, written warning, 5 min stay back, 30 minute after school) I'm thinking VWEP (verbal, written, email home, phone call home) but that might just make too much extra work for me, maybe I'll just give them multiple written warnings for the same thing but then it will mess up the report system?
I'm hoping the shock of coming back makes them behave until someone decides for me 
To end my day on a positive - I have a year 4 child in my class who I had last year, let's call him Arjun. Arjun is from a multi generational household with ill parents, is very autistic, only just verbal and is waiting for a special school place. His mum took him out of school early in March because he kept licking the bus. I love him, I chose to have him again even though he is challenging in class.
He arrived this morning for the first time in a taxi on his own. He worked out walking around from where the taxi dropped him (this was an issue, but let's brush over that one for now 
), came to the specified gate for my class, wore a mask the whole time, then came in and had an amazing day. He totally hugged me a gazillion times, and held my hand all through breaktime, SD with people he knows not being a feature of his life, but he wore a mask, waited in a SD queue outside with other parents all on his own, and had fun. He only bounced off my whiteboard about 5 times, which is a win. I totally loved seeing him. Nearly cried on the phone to his mum explaining how he'd done so well on his own.
