Hi there,
I haven't been teaching in schools since 2010 (taught abroad for two years and before then in state schools between 2002-2004). So very rusty but still teach 1-1 with a great business going that I love. I'm also a dyslexia specialist teacher.
Nevertheless I still get wistful and dream of going back to school (primary). I also spent four years training in education and leadership when I had dreams of becoming a head...did an MBA not NPQH.
It's money that stops me. I'm earning good money working for myself. I've just been reading up and suspect that as I have taught in the UK for two years (two abroad) I would be looking at very early scales eg. possibly around 28k or even less. Am I right?
I guess if that's the case I need to be grateful for what I have now built up and accept my dreams of being back in a school are crazy.
Would love your thoughts. Thank you!
