Hopefully we are all off now, or at the very least by Friday. Sad to report that I had nothing this term to boost my drinks collection.

I still don't have my timetable yet for next term. I know I will have at least one class each from 10 to 13. I suspect our Master Timetabler may release the timetables nearer Results days

Last day for me tomorrow. I had my class in today, just for 10 mins in the playground before they went off in small groups to their new teachers. Over half were wearing masks - cultural I expect. Bless. They're 8.

Yep. It is alright dishy Rishi talking about 3% but school budgets have suffered real cuts for the past decade.

No way are schools giving 3% pay rises to all of us. Of course the MN brigade will just assume that is what all teachers will get. Standby for keyboard warrior action later on 😂

Offering schools an extra 2% is like giving a sticky plaster to someone who has had their chopped off.

The one two years ago was fully funded by government so it's naughty of schools not to pass that on, Phlebas. (I can't remember about the one last year...)

This one, they haven't said (as far as I can see). But if it's not, no, we won't be seeing it - it's more than the budget increase given to schools. A colleague of mine of mine who was Ups3 with a TLR now earns significantly more than her husband who was at same starting point two years ago as our MAT gave both pay rises and the husband's didn't...

I think we need a standard public health type warning on all school threads now along the lines of, someone from the ThemForUs lobby group will be along shortly to minimise the virus and call teachers hysterical for wanting any measures to mitigate risk.

Don't worry about the pay rise. Prison officers have already had their MN pasting over their £4000 bonus - which is in reality overtime paid for those who committed to a set number of additional hours over a (I think) 4 month period. Dh did explain how it worked at the beginning but I've forgotten. Suffice to say he is not receiving a bonus but paid overtime for hours over and above his contracted ones.

I finished term last Friday officially. Though my last day in was Wednesday. I kind of know what I'm doing next term, or rather, I know where my bubble is. I know which kids I'm supporting. How it's going to actually work?? Well, we shall be winging it somewhat. I suspect my bubble colleague and I will need to work out which lessons which student needs to most support with and go from there.

My dc's school are hoping to have breakfast club running, though haven't yet managed to put the booking system in place despite assuring me it would be done before their end of term. Which is today so I guess there is still time.

My last official day was Friday, but I wasn't in school that last week. I'm very glad it's the holidays.

I've barely been on MN the past few days, so I've missed all this drama. I have to say I think it's pretty good for my mental health to be missing those threads. I took the kids to the beach yesterday and we're going to my sister's today. Those things are good for my mental health 😁

What sort of thing was the nasuwt survey asking? I haven’t had anything from the NEU.

Objective stuff like have you seen a risk assessment, will there be staggered starts, etc and subjective stuff on whether you feel safe/anxious etc. Fair bit of space for raising other issues and adding specifics.
