Risk assessments

Do any of your risk assessments state that you can’t eat or drink during your time at school? Surely if it’s too dangerous to take a sip of water (definitely not allowed, I checked) then it’s too dangerous to open my mouth and talk to the class?!

Bump. Would really like to know if this applies to other schools.

Do you not get a lunch break?

Allowed to drink. Not in labs though.

That is totally, utterly ridiculous. It's going to be really hot!

That needs Union intervention.

What?! How on earth can that be reasonable? If it's not safe to eat/drink then it's not safe to open.
Speak to your union.

Thanks all. Have spoken to union. I’m usually very compliant, and want to do a good job for the school and students, so wanted to check whether others thought this was acceptable.

I'd be surprised if that was legal! Definitely contact your union!

Definitely not acceptable or reasonable (also very unlikely to be effective).

That can't possibly be legal!!! You'll dehydrate 😱😱
