My ds is in year 8, all of his teachers have been amazing at setting work (an appropriate amount, interesting and at a good level) marking it and giving constructive feedback. He's in a large state school. However what has struck me time and time again with his teachers is how caring the comments seem to be, genuine concern about their students, how they are getting on academically and emotionally. I have emailed his school to say the same but i'm sure most parents aren't. I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all you teachers, I truly think you are all amazing.

This is a lovely message. I'd like to echo it - my DC's (state) school teachers (primary and secondary) have been blooming amazing. No bells and whistles, no timetables and zoom lessons - just regular work, emailed advice for supporting the kids with it, and caring posts on Teams.

I hope so. Along with the obvious difficulties of teaching online, t must be hard going from hundreds of face to face interactions with students to constant screens. You all must be exhausted.

Adding my thanks. DDs year 3 and nursery both getting calls each week and feedback on work. Little voice messages of encouragement. It's great & much appreciated in tough times.

I agree, my son is in year 8 too and has had interesting and varied work set. He always gets a reply when he sends the completed work, usually straight away and feedback. He gets lots of encouraging messages from them and they do sound like they really care about his education and how he is doing. So I would like to add my thanks to all the amazing teachers out there.

Also sending many thanks to teachers and other school staff.

Two children in two different state schools. Both really gone out of their way to support the children especially emotionally, which I'm so appreciative of.

Yes I would like to thank all my three children’s teachers and schools who have gone above and beyond to support my children being at home.
And also Thankyou for these comments from a member of staff working on a rota in school right now. They mean a lot Smile

Thank you from me too. I absolutely cannot fault my DCs state secondary school for the way my DCs are being taught and for the interest in the welfare of everybody at the school.

I have been very happy to hear from our school (large state school about 1200 pupils) that they have had a few hundred messages of thanks and support from parents. Our school have been doing a marvellous job and I echo everything you say. I emailed my thanks and told them I would support whatever decision they take on Yr 10/12 returning in July because I trust their judgement.
